Baby's room is coming along...

Today I tackled some sewing projects for the baby's room. Project #1: a pillow, inspired by these pillows (that are way too expensive for me!!)

And the bedskirt... which I have no clue how it turned out looking so decent. I am sure there's a much easier way to measure fabric so its "square" and to sew the pieces together. I have no clue what I'm doing, honestly.

The mobile for above the baby's bed. I just clipped it to the curtain rod for the time being.

The friends from World Market, taking up residence on the new bookshelf.

The pillow and bedskirt are amazing! Love the colors. I'm preggo with our first baby and am wondering where you go that cool mobile? It looks like you can clip different cards to it.

Heather and Tim (I'm assuming its just Heather posting, though LOL!)

I got the mobile from eBay. The cards are actually from Wee Gallery (www.weegallery.com) and the photo mobile I believe is a Kikkerland Photo Mobile.

I got each from ebay as it was a little cheaper and I was able to use my PayPal balance to pay. You can buy both from Weegallery.com though, they run about $12.95 (cards) and $11 (mobile). Yes, you can clip other things to the mobile as well... family photos, abc cards etc... the possibilities are endless! :)

I havent figured out the getting fabric square thing either, I wing it too and it turns out ok, but I know there has to be a 'right' way LOL

Wow. The World Market stuffed animals match the Alexander Henry Zoo fabric perfectly! I was thinking that he had a coordinating striped fabric that I had never seen!
